Dr Nicola Stewart graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2008. She completed six years of anaesthetic training before moving to general practice, qualifying as a GP in 2020.

After qualifying she initially worked as a civilian GP for the Ministry of Defence and as a Menopause Doctor before moving to her current practice in Essex.

Dr Stewart has always enjoyed consultations involving women’s health and seeing the positive impact that good menopause care can have for woman. Dr Stewart is passionate about delivering supportive and evidence-based care for her patients. She has completed her advanced menopause training through the British Menopause Society and she is a member of the British Menopause Society.

Dr Stewart also has an interest in medical education. She has completed a postgraduate certificate in teaching and learning for healthcare professionals, as well as a fellowship year in medical simulation. She looks forward to incorporating this into her work at Menopause Care.

Outside of work Dr Stewart enjoys swimming, running and baking. She is also kept busy by her two young children.
