James Potter

Hi, I’m James. I am a highly experienced physiotherapist who enjoys helping people return to what they love to do, whether that be getting back to work, playing with the kids or participating in sports/hobbies.

I qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2003 from the University of Hertfordshire and qualified as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in 2023.

Over the years I have completed many courses and Master level modules to develop my specialist knowledge and skills in order to better help people recover from injury, manage pain more effectively and improve fitness and body conditioning.

I have worked in the NHS for 20 years, assessing and treating people with often highly complex presentations and needs. I have advanced skills in areas such as acupuncture, manual therapy and exercise therapy.

I have also spent over 10 years working in private practice in Suffolk, treating patients similar to you. I pride myself in my ability to build rapport with my patients, understanding both the problems you present with and also the person in front of me; understanding your motivations, goals and needs in order to maximise your rehab potential.

I also have experience working in elite sport as an Academy Physiotherapist with Ipswich Town Football Club, within the accident & emergency department at Ipswich Hospital, working alongside orthopaedic consultants in clinic and with GPs in primary care. This diverse work experience together with my interest and participation in running, skiing, snowboarding, cycling and motocross gives me a unique and broad skills skill set with which to help you.
